User manual: move, breath, sleep.

Continuously, Consistently, Accurately, Reliably and Automatically monitor motion (actigraphy), resting heart rate and breathing rate through out day and night while simply being at home.

Who is it for?

There are an estimated 92 million Americans that suffer from a form of CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease) or CVD (Cardiovascular Disease). Some 15 million of them are seniors. Continuous monitoring of RHR + RR may provide important information in their treatment and also give early deterioration detection alerts.

COPD:

  • 16 million to 24 million Americans suffer from COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). It is mainly caused by smoking.
  • “The guideline for home treatment and management of mild COPD exacerbations, as specified by the European Respiratory Society [76], states that patients need to be reassessed every 48 h for worsening of symptoms, signs, and measurements.
  • With the inclusion of continuous monitoring, this interval can be prolonged and the home treatment of exacerbations made more secure.”1

CVD:

  • 71M of Americans have CVD (cardiovascular disease).
  • “...Home HR measurement may become a simple and useful method for providing information on the risk of imminent CV event in patients with stable CAD.”2
  • Home Monitoring of Heart Rate can be a predictor of imminent cardiovascular events.

COVID-19 (recovered, long-haulers):

As of May 21, 2021, there were almost 166 million global cases of COVID-19. Around 147 million people had recovered from the disease, of which 27.5M are American.

  • “Recovered COVID19 patients may need life-long respiratory support and monitoring..”3
  • “Months after recovery, COVID-19 survivors often have persistent lung trouble..”4
  • “Covid-19 Recovered patients have partially reduced lung function..”5

Pneumonia:

  • Pneumonia is responsible for over 1.3M hospital visits per year in the US.
  • “Importantly, evidence confirms an abnormal respiratory rate is nearly always associated with conditions such as pneumonia, and may be the only indicator in this demographic that something ominous is occurring..”6

Continuous home health monitoring

Xandar Kardian’s XK300 sensor is able to detect vital signs 10 times per second giving 600 results per minute. During one 8 hour overnight period, if the user was “still” for 5 hours (out of 8 hours), we can estimate that 18,000 seconds of vital sign data was collected. Daily recording of motion, RHR and RR can provide critical insight to the residents overall health & wellbeing.

Users also have the option of assigning “caretakers” who can be friends, neighbors or family. Caretakers are given access to the users vital signs, including potential alerts for adverse events.
